Joel is full professor in the Department of Psychoeducation at UQTR. He is the co-author of  a program for the controlled use of alcohol, cannabis and other substances, the Mes Choix program (in cluding Alcochoix+) and the director of a research team – RISQ (www.risqtoxico.ca). He is interested in  understanding the social and psychological consumption patterns of alcohol, cannabis and other drugs  and the evaluation of interventions in this realm. He has authored more than 60 articles and book chapters.
